Hong Kong and Borneo

Returning from Asia I had my work cut out with trawling through two thousand photographs I had taken. After a week, I had finally got it down to a respectable amount to manage. Each time I go through this exercise I'm always wondering if I'm deleting the right photos. With a constant changing world of creativity you never know if that slightly blurred or unintentional image may work one day.

It's been 14 years since I last visited HK. It still feels familiar and much of it is the same. The real difference comes from the continuous reclaiming of land and constant building work. Obviously this has effected the population and I shocked by the over crowded streets and residential areas.

Borneo was a first for me and it certainly won't be the last time I visit. With breathtaking scenery, it’s truly amazing and magical place. The rainforest is teeming with wildlife. I found it was a challenging place to take photographs due to the poor lighting. It's a harsh environment and even through I expected the humidity and heat reading about it doesn't really prepare you for your first encounter. With only visiting a few places in the Sabah region. It’s only a tiny glimpse of the 3rd largest island in the world.
